Growing the Digital Presence of Maxicrop & Baby Bio

The challenge

SBM Life Science Ltd is a global leader in garden and plant care, with much-loved consumer brands including Maxicrop and Baby Bio. While both brands have strong heritage and loyal customers, SBM wanted to significantly increase their digital footprint in the UK, driving more relevant traffic to key product and category pages and laying the foundations for sustained growth online.

Their initial focus was clear: increase visibility, attract high-intent users and ensure their digital activity was aligned with ambitious growth targets for the coming years.

Our approach

Gravity was brought on board to develop and deliver a data-led digital acquisition strategy, initially centred around SEO and Google Ads.

We began by identifying priority pages and key search opportunities across both brands, ensuring activity was focused where it would deliver the most impact. Our SEO work focused on improving visibility and relevance, while Google Ads allowed us to quickly drive qualified traffic and test performance at speed.

Alongside this, we worked closely with the SBM team to ensure our strategy aligned with brand objectives, internal targets and long-term ambitions, creating a collaborative partnership rather than a purely tactical delivery.

The results

Within the first six weeks, our approach delivered measurable impact, with a 27% increase in visitors to specific priority pages across the parent website.

This early success validated the strategy and provided a strong platform to build from. With clear insights now in place, we have developed a longer-term plan designed to continue increasing traffic, visibility and performance as we work towards agreed targets.
